Hey ladies!
So doesn't it seem like it's getting a lot harder to be a girl these days? I mean, doors are open for us where they weren't for women before us, but with those opportunities comes a lot more expectations. We are supposed to get straight-As, be extra-involved in school, and have bundles of friends... all while maintaining our perfect hair and walking in heels. Parents, teachers, peers, what we see on TV - it packs on the pressure, doesn't it?
And let's be perfectly honest - sometimes the pressure gets the best of us. We get catty and spread rumors to bring other chicas down. We let loose and are faced with regret... and the evidence on Myspace. Our bodies become the enemy in our fight to look like Giselle. Yep, sometimes we do un-fabulous things in an effort to be the best - the prettiest, most popular, smartest, whatever.
But let me let you in on a little secret: We are not perfect. Nor should we ever wish to be. We each have our goofy little quirks and imperfections - that's what makes us real. But it is time we realize that we are Fab Gals. We have unique talents, we have smarts, and we are beautiful. And pretty soon the world will be in our hands - and we don't want to leave it to the boys, do we? I didn't think so. It's time we joined together and started acting like the Fab Gals we know we are.
That's where this site comes in - a place for us to start the conversation. Because I know FGs have a LOT to say about our world. So leave your comments, suggestions, questions, anything, and click around the cool links on the side. And check back often, because Fab Gal? This is only the beginning for us...
xoxo
