"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." - Marilyn Monroe
So I have to tell you a funny story. It was this Friday, and me and my good friend S were hanging out at a coffee shop before heading to a movie. When we were getting up to leave, this guy stopped her and said, "Hey, you're beautiful." She just said, "Oh, thanks. Have a good night!" When we were outside, I asked her who that was. "I have absolutely no idea," she said.
It was one of those funny, random moments, but it definitely made me think. S is beautiful of course - a beautiful person, a beautiful friend. And this random stranger beat me to the punch. When had I told her she was beautiful? All of my friends, actually. They're all beautiful. Wonderful. If I reflect half of how amazing they are, I am so, so lucky. I know all that, but I don't think I say it near enough.
I'm not saying we don't appreciate people. I think we do. But how often do you really tell them? Now, telling a stranger they're beautiful might seem a little silly. But what about your sisters, cousins, friends? They deserve to hear it every now and then. And you do too. Because hey, you're beautiful FG.

This is so true, I think we don't say these things far enough as we should.
P.S. beautyaddict.blogspot.com is a great blog!
