Keeping the Balance
Hi Fab Gals!

Aren't you so happy it's Friday? Me too. The school year gets so crazy-busy that a little break feels well-deserved. But there is a way to keep a balance between school, activities, homework, and fun! Here's what to do:
  • Plan Ahead - It's okay if you aren't super-organized, but it is good to keep some kind of calendar or planner so you know what's coming up. Write down all of the important stuff - tests, dances, games - and keep it somewhere that you will see it all the time.

  • Prioritize - Yes, you are a Fab Gal, but you can't do everything and save the world in the day. Sometimes, you have to make decisions about what is most important. Maybe today it's most important that you go to the first football game, but tomorrow it might be more important for you to study for your math test than watching the latest episode of Wizards of Waverly Place. You just have to choose wisely.
  • Stay Healthy - It's so important when you are really busy to take care of your body. Make some room for healthy meals and time to work out. Also, make sure you give yourself time to sleep and recuperate. That way, your body will be able to keep up with your busy life, and you will feel so much better.

  • Don't Waste Time - There are some things, that even though we enjoy them, are really a waste of time. For example, I could spend hours on Facebook. Would I really accomplish much? Probably not. So I try to set a time limit - say, 45 minutes - so that I can do what I enjoy but have more time for things that are really important.

  • Have Fun! - This is crucial for a busy Fab Gal! You do so much, and you deserve to have time to just kick back. Having time to kick back with friends, go to a movie, or do whatever you enjoy can be refreshing after a long week. So make sure your schedule is rounded out with play time. Trust me, you deserve it!

How do you balance your busy schedule, FGs? What do you do to stay healthy, stay organized, and have fun? Leave a comment to let me know (see the instructions on the side). Of course, you can always e-mail me at fabgalsite@gmail.com.

xoxo

These are such great ideas, I'm going to try to stick to this. My life is so chaotic because of my schedule and I just can't seem to manage it all without getting stressed out, now, I think I have some hope!

I can totally relate to you Ashley - some days it feels like I can't keep up! But you can do it FG - I have faith in you. xoxo

Wow, that's really tough! First of all, it was great for you to make an effort by meeting with teachers. The difficult thing about history as compared to other classes is that it is mostly memorization. One thing that helps me is to make flashcard whenever there's new info. Since you're really busy, it's good to find something small (notes, flashcards, etc.) that help you study just a little bit each day. It won't take too much time, and come test time you will be much more prepared!
Let me know how it goes!
    xoxo
